When we held our first Charity Dinner in the early 2000s, it was a relatively new method of raising funds that was not familiar to many in Japan. However, since then, more than 5,000 people have attended our Charity Dinners over the last 20 years.
In recent years, NPOs/NGOs have been recognized as important agents in solving social issues, and the number of subsidies that support their work is increasing. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become necessary to take on new challenges, such as shifting from in-person fundraising meetings and events to remote online venues.
At HOPE-JP, we are looking forward to launching new projects, continuing existing ones, and assisting more people on the path to self-reliance. In this article, is a summary of all the projects that we are committed to for 2017.
