Ethiopia Project Report
The "Women's Emporwermrnt Project" in Ethiopia that started in 2021 is coming an end. Project
director Yuki Kimura has returned from Ethiopia and will report on how the project has changed the
lives of the women involved.
If you are interested in Africa, Ethiopia, and women's empowerment, or just want to meet up at
Shooters for the first time in a while, we are looking forward to seeing you!
Everyone is welcome, including those who are interested in the work that we do, or even those who
are just curious about HOPE Night.
Program
The Southern Region of Ethiopia is one of the most remote and difficult regions to solve poverty issues,
with many living in ultra-poverty and isolated areas. In Oyda where HOPE operates, women struggle
to find safe drinking water and exist in extreme poverty, lacking sufficient knowledge to provide for
themselves or their families. Our project provides women with valuable income-generating
opportunities and improves their lives through the installation of water supply facilities and women's
empowerment projects.
