Osaka Marathon 2025 Report

Over 30,000 runners raced through Osaka - and the circle of support kept growing!
On February 24, 2025 the Osaka Marathon 2025 was held with over 30,000 runners from across Japan filling the streets of Osaka. The Osaka Marathon is more than just a sports event. Under the slogan "Painting the Rainbow Together," it supports seven charity themes, with officially selected recipient organizations. The Charity Runner system, where participants run to raise funds for a cause, continues to gain recognition each year.
18 Charity Runners Took on the Challenge
Following last year's participation, HOPE once again joined the event as an official charity partner. This year, 18 charity runners chose HOPE as their cause and took on the challenge of completing the full marathon.
As they raced past iconic landmarks like Osaka Castle, Dotonbori, and Shitennoji Temple, they helped expand the circle of support with every step.

In preparation for the event, we created an original T-shirt with a QR code linking to HOPE's support page and sent it to each charity runner in advance. Some wore the shirts during training and posted on social media, while others proudly wore them during the marathon itself. We're delighted to hear that the T-shirts helped boost team spirit and motivation.
Donation Report
Thanks to the incredible efforts of our charity runners a total of 2,513,830 JPY was raised.
In addition, we received 1,940,448 JPY as part of the charity fund distribution from the Osaka Marathon organizing committee.
Together, this brought the total donation amount to 4,454,278 JPY!
